Unlocking The Car: Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe

Welcome to Unlocking the Car, where I tell you how to unlock a certain car in different video games. The first car I will tell you how to unlock is the legendary Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. Winning races to unlock the car do not count.

The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is one of the most successful cars to compete as it led Shelby to be the first American automotive manufacture to win the FIA World Sportscar Championship in 1965. The Daytona Coupe is a two seater grand tourer with a chassis and drive-train loosely based on the Shelby Cobra Roadster. The Daytona Coupe was built specifically to compete with Ferrari. The Daytona could reach a top speed of 190 mph, where as the Shelby Cobra could only reach a top speed of 157 mph. The rival Ferrari 250 GTO could hit 186 mph. Between 1965 and 1965, 6 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupes were built. The one that captured the 1965 championship went for $7.25 million dollars at the 2009 Mecum Monterrey auction. The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is playable in 13 games. The car is available from the start in netKar pro, Need For Speed: The Run, Vigilante 8 (Rattler), Gran Turismo 2, TORCS, Forza Motorsport 4, GT Legends, and Need For Speed: World.

The Daytona Coupe part of DLC packs for two games. The Daytona Coupe is part of the Motorsport Legends Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 3, which will cost the player 400 Microsoft Points, or $5.00. The Daytona Coupe is part of the Legends Pack for Shift 2: Unleashed, which will cost the player 800 Microsoft Points for XBOX 360 owners or $10.00 for Playstation 3 owners. For three video games, the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe must be unlocked.

In Forza Horizon, the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is one of nine cars that has to be unlocked via barn finds. As with the all the barn find cars, you have to first get notified of the barn find location. While driving in free roam, you will hear over the radio a rumor that there is a car hidden in a barn in Carson. Once you hear the rumor, hit X and a circle on the map will show you the area where the barn is located. Drive to Carson and on a dirt road in the northwest section of Carson, there is the barn. Drive up to the open doors of the barn and a cut scene will begin. After the cut scene, you will get a message that you found the Shelby Daytona Coupe and Dak is fixing up the car. Once Dak is done working on the car, he will notify you. Head over to the garage and pick up the car. You have now unlocked the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. The video below shows you where the barn is. Video is from Super GT, not me.

The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is unlockable in both Test Drive Unlimited and Test Drive Unlimited 2. For Test Drive Unlimited, it is a two part process to unlock the Daytona Coupe. First, obtain three Ford cars. There are six ford cars available in the game. The Ford GT, Mustang coupe, and Mustang convertibles can be bought at the dealership. The other three Ford cars have to be unlocked: Ford Mustang GT-R Concept (complete all vehicle transport driving missions), Ford Shelby Cobra Concept (finish all top model driving missions), and Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept (win gold on all speed challenges). Once you have obtained 3 Ford cars, earn $1,000,000 and head to the US Muscle Car dealership. Buy (or reserve if not in stock) the Sehlby Cobra Daytona Coupe. This is the best car for G-class competitions. Once I got this car, all G-class challenges were a breeze. In Test Drive Unlimited 2, there are six cars that are unlocked through wreckage discoveries. In each of the six zones (Ibiza 1 &2 and Hawaii 1, 2, 3, &4), there are 10 wreck car locations. In Hawaii 2, there are 10 wrecked Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupes. As you approach a wrecked car, you will see a blinking car puzzle piece on your screen. As you get closer to the wrecked car, the piece will blink faster and faster. Once you find all 10 wrecked Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupes, you will be informed that you have unlocked the car and the car is available at the used car dealership. For all 10 locations, watch the video below. Video is from MotogamesTV, not me.

Now go out and enjoy driving the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe in the virtual world.

First Drive: 2013 Nissan 370Z

Nissan Z-line of sports coupe has been around since 1969 when the Datsun Fairlady Z started being produced. The Fairlady Z was around until 1978 with three different versions. From 1969 to 1973, the Fairlady Z was also known as the 240Z, which was powered by a 2.4L I6. From 1974 to 1978, the Fairlady Z was known as the 260Z, which was powered by a 2.6L I6. The U.S. market only got the 260Z in 1974. From 1975 to 1978, the United States got the 280Z, a Fairlady Z that was powered by a 2.8L I6. All versions of the Fairlady Z were 3 door hatchbacks that came with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. The successor for the Datsun Fairlady Z was known as the 280ZX, also known as the Nissan Fairlady Z, which was in production from 1978 to 1983. The 280ZX came with 2.0L I6 engine, a turbocharged 2.0L I6, a 2.8L I6 engine, or a turbocharged 1.8L I6 engine. The 280ZX was also a three door fastback  with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. Next in the Z-line is the Nissan 300ZX that was produced with the Z31 chassis from 1983 to 1989 and was produced with the Z32 chassis from 1989 to 2000. After a two year hiatus, the Z-line returned in 2002 with the Nissan Fairlady Z Z33, known better as the Nissan 350Z. It came with a 3.5L V6, while the Nismo 350Z came with a 3.8L V6. The 350Z coupe was produced from 2003 to 1008 while 350Z roadsters were produced from 2004 to 2009. Replacing the 350Z is the 370Z, which went into production in 2010 and is the current version of the Z-line. The 370Z is a front-mid engine, rear-wheel drive sports car that is available as either a roadster or a sports coupe. At the 2013 Houston Auto Show, I was the first one to take the 370Z coupe on a test drive. I got to the Nissan booth right when it open.

The Nissan 370Z has a very sporty exterior. The headlights are integrated well. The 370Z has a nice sporty profile. On the inside, it is all about sportiness. There are three gauges on the top middle of the dashboard that display the time, battery voltage, and the oil temperature. It is a sporty dash. The car I test drove came with paddle shifters, and they work well. The 370Z is sports-tuned, so the seat is stiff, but not too stiff to break you back. I had a nice amount of leg room and head room behind the wheel. The 370Z is a two seater, so if you want to drive around with two passengers, then the 370Z is not for you.

The 370Z is powered by a 3.7L V6, paired with either a seven-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmssion, that produces 332 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and it felt quick behind the wheel. The 370Z is sports-tuned and it handles well. The car was very responsive when I turned the steering wheel. There was no jerky motions coming from the car when I used the paddle shifters. The 370Z has a stiff ride, so you will feel every bump, but not to the point that the car becomes uncomfortable to drive or ride in.

The 370Z has been featured on Top Gear USA, Top Gear UK, Top Gear Australia, Born to Race, Fifth Gear, Motorweek, RTL Autowereld, Gek Op Wielen, Top Gear Korea, Auto Esporte, Fast Five, 200 M.P.H., Jane By Design, 90210, Pretty Little Liars, The Green Hornet, Cars.TV, Switched At Birth, and The Sitter. The 370Z is playable in Dead Heat, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Asphalt 3D, Need For Speed: The Run, StreetRally, Asphalt Injection, Auto Club Revolution, Speed Driver 3: Crash Hour, Speed Driver 4: World Fever, Driver: San Francisco, Need For Speed: Undercover, Need For Speed: Shift, Need For Speed: Nitro, Gran Turismo 5, Asphalt 5, GT Racing: Motor Academy, Need For Speed: World, Just Cause 2, Nitto 1320 Legends, Shift 2: Unleashed, Forza Motorsport 3, Real Racing 2, and Car Town.

Overall, the Nissan 370Z is a great car. Although the ride is stiff due to the sports-tuned suspension. The paddle shifters enhance the experience with the automatic transmission. There is plenty of leg room and head room for the driver and passenger, but there are no back seats. The engine generates great power for a naturally aspirated V6 engine, and I felt power through the entire rev range. With some engines, you do not get a good amount of power at lower rpms. The 370Z is quick, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.6 seconds. The car has a good sporty exterior and a good sporty interior. The Nissan 370Z is a good sports car. Prices for the base 370Z coupe start at $34,420. Prices go up to $39,120 for the 370Z Touring Coupe. Prices for the 370Z Roadster start at $41,470. A Nismo 370Z Coupe goes for $43,020. That is not bad for what you get with the Nissan 370Z. This is a fun sports car and if you are in the market for a sports car, give the Nissan 370Z a test drive.

First Drive: 2013 Dodge Challenger SXT

The first time Dodge used the Challenger was in 1959 with the Dodge Silver Challenger, a two door coupe that only came in silver and was available with either a six-cylinder or eight-cylinder engine. The first generation was produced from 1970 to 1974, serving as Dodge's entry in the pony car market, competing with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. The Challenger shared the Chrysler E-Body platform with the Plymouth Barracuda. 165,437 first generation Challengers were sold. The second generation Challenger was sold from 1978 to 1983. It was a rebadge Mitsubishi Galant Lambda. The second generation Challenger was a subcompact two-door coupe. It was available with either a 1.6L I4 engine or a 2.6L I4 engine. On February 6, 2008, Dodge debuted the third generation Challenger at the Chicago Auto Show. For the 2008 model year, the Challenger were only SRT-8s and came with a 6.1L Hemi V8 and a five-speed automatic transmission. Starting in 2009, more options and trim levels were available for the Challenger. After years of seeing Challengers at various Houston car events, I was able to drive one at the 2013 Houston Auto Show. The version I drove featured a 3.6L V6 and an automatic transmission. The Challenger I drove is also a front-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door pony car with a 2+2 seating arrangement. Since it did not have a V8 engine, I cannot classify the car I drove as a muscle car.

The Dodge Challenger has a retro styling. It looks like a modern day version of the first generation Challenger. The Challenger has a sporty, aggressive styling. It is  The Challenger has a small spoiler on the edge of the trunk lid, which I prefer over a large wing. I like the design of the hood. It is not flat like most cars. Since the version I drove was a Challenger SXT Plus, there are fog lights in the lower part of the front bumper. The interior is nothing special. The seats are comfortable. I had a good amount of head room and leg room behind the wheel. There is space for rear passengers.

The Challenger I drove is powered by a 3.6L V6, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode, that produces 305 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 114 mph. The Challenger SXT has a comfortable ride. The car drove smoothly along the test route. The Challenger is also responsive when I turn the steering wheel, push the accelerator pedal, and press the brake pedal. The Challenger has a good drive quality. It has good performance, while being comfortable to sit in. Prices for the Challenger SXT start at $25,795.

Overall, the Challenger is a good car. It is comfortable behind the wheel while having good performance. This is the base model and is good for everyday driving. If you want more power and performance and want a V8 engine instead of a V6, then go with either the Challenger R/T and Challenger SRT-8, both being available with Hemi V8 engines. The only thing Dodge needs to do is to improve the interior of the Challenger. The Challenger's interior is nothing special and is very similar to interiors found in other Dodges. Dodge and Chrysler should put a sportier interior into the Challenger, something that compliments the retro sporty exterior styling of the Challenger. But if you are looking for a good pony to use as an everyday driver, give the Dodge Challenger SXT a test drive.

First Drive: 2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Chevrolet discontinued production of the Camaro in 2002. In March of 2009, Chevrolet started production on a new Camaro. The new Camaro is a very popular pony car/muscle car. I see Camaros everyday on Houston roads and highways. Both old and new Camaros are on display at the various car shows in Houston. At the Houston Auto Show, General Motors/Chevrolet brings a Camaro SS available for test drives. Since moving back to Houston after graduating college in 2010, I have attended the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Houston Auto Shows. I did not test drive any cars in 2011. I attended the 2012 Houston Auto Show with my dad and we test drove five cars. Unfortunately, there was a line for Camaro, so we went in the Chevrolet Volt. During the fall of 2012, I test drove a Camaro RS, which is powered by a 3.6L V6. At the 2013, Houston Auto Show, I finally got behind the wheel of a Camaro SS. But in order to drive the Camaro SS, I had to first drive another General Motors car that was not a Cadillac. I test drove the Chevrolet Spark before I was able to test drive the Camaro. However there was a line, so I drove the Buick Enclave and hope that the line shortened for the Camaro. After driving the Enclave, I had to wait behind five other people before I got my chance behind the wheel of the Camaro SS. The version of the Camaro I drove was the Camaro 2SS, which is the upscale trim level for the Camaro SS.

The Camaro has a retro sporty styling, which I like. The Camaro has a low roof line, which minimizes head room. The is a SS insignia on the corner of the grill. The Camaro has a great side profile. The Camaro has a sporty interior. There is not much head room in the Camaro, especially for rear passengers. The Camaro has a 2+2 seating arrangement, but adults would not be comfortable sitting in the back. The seat itself is comfortable. I had good leg room behind the wheel. The Camaro 2SS comes with a rear camera and a 7: touchscreen.

The Camaro SS I drove is powered by a 6.2L V8, paired with six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, that produces 426 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 157 mph. The Camaro SS is a quick car. It has really good power distribution throughout the rpm spectrum. Gear shifts were smooth when using the paddle shifters. The car drove smoothly on the Houston roads. Steering is responsive. For a car with a 6.2L V8, it was quiet inside the Camaro. Prices for the Camaro SS starts at $33,535. The version I drove, the Camaro 2SS, starts at $37,035, which is not bad for a performance car.

Overall, the Chevrolet Camaro SS has great performance at a reasonable price. The Camaro also has a sporty retro styling. The Camaro lacks in the head room department. The low roof line minimizes head room. Since this is a sports coupe, there is very little leg room for rear passengers. If you are looking for a performance car at a reasonable price, give the Camaro SS a test drive. If you want a family car, then the Camaro is not for you. So after passing up the opportunity to drive a Camaro SS two years in a row, I was glad that I finally drove one. The Camaro SS is a fun car to drive, even if it is lacking in head room.

First Drive: 2013 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Coupe

The Ford Mustang was first released in 1964 and it started the pony car wars. It beat out its rivals, the Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro. Starting in 1969 until 1973, the Mustang was available with a 302 cubic inch (4.95L) V8. The 302 engine was available in the second generation Mustang starting in 1975. 1975 marked the year when Ford first used the "5.0" moniker for the Mustang. The 4.95L V8 was brought over  to the third generation Mustang. Due to an oil crisis, the 4.95L V8 was replaced for a 4.2L V8 for the 1980 and 1981. In 1982, Mustangs regained the 4,.95L V8. All third generation Mustangs with the 4.95L V8 carried the "5.0" moniker. When Ford released the fourth generation in 1994, Ford brought over the 4.95L V8 and kept it in the Mustang for the 1995 model year. In 1996, Ford replaced the 4.95L V8 with a 4.6L V8. In 2005, Ford came out with the fifth generation Mustang, and the 4.95L V8 was not included with the initial release of the fifth generation Mustang. When the fifth generation got a styling update in 2010, the 4.95L V8 was still not available. The 302 cubic inch V8 made its return to the Ford Mustang in 2011, replacing the 4.6L V8 engines found in the Mustang GTs. Starting in 2011, Ford Mustang GTs gained the "5.0" moniker. In 2012 and 2013, Ford released the Mustang Boss 302. At the 2013 Houston Auto Show, the Ford Mustang 5.0 was available for test drive, but there was a long line just to drive one and Ford allowed you to only drive in the parking lot. I decided not to drive the Mustang at the auto show. There is a Ford dealership close to where I live and I stopped by to test drive the Mustang 5.0. The Ford Mustang is a front engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door sports car with a 2+2 seating arrangement.

The Mustang GT 5.0 has a sporty, aggressive styling. It has the classic front grill and a sporty profile. I really like the taillights on the Mustang. The Mustang I drove had a simple interior. There is no touch screen in the Mustang I drove. I was comfortable behind the wheel. I had a good amount of head space and leg space. This is a sports coupe, there is not much room in the back for adult passengers. The Mustang I drove also came with Brembo brakes, which improve the Mustang's stopping power.

The Ford Mustang GT 5.0 I drove is powered by a 5.0L V8, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, that produces 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 146 mph. The Mustang 5.0 is also available with a six-speed manual transmission. The Mustang 5.0 has great acceleration. It felt quick behind the wheel. For a sports car, the Mustang 5.0 has a smooth ride. It was quiet inside the Mustang 5.0, even with a V8 engine. The Mustang has responsive handling and the car responded well when pressed the accelerator and brake pedals. This is a solid muscle car and I had fun test behind the wheel. Prices for the Mustang GT Coupe start at $30,750. Prices for the Ford Mustang GT Premium start at $34,750.

Overall, the Mustang GT 5.0 is a great muscle car. The Mustang has great performance at a very reasonable price. I have driven the Chevrolet Camaro SS, yet I had more fun in the Mustang GT 5.0 than I did in the Camaro SS. I have also driven the Mustang V6. The Mustang V6 is good for everyday driving. But if you want a car you can live with everyday and want to use on track days, the Mustang GT 5.0 is the way to go. Since there is not much room in the back, the Mustang should not be used as a family car. If you want a great performing car for under $40,000, give the Mustang GT 5.0 a test drive.

First Drive: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition

At the 2008 New York International Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled a new sports car. To show off what this car can do, Hyundai demonstrated its abilities by doing powerslides and burnouts in this new car. This new car, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, would go on sale in Spring 2009 as a 2010 model. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is unique to the Hyundai brand as it is the brand's only front engine, rear-wheel drive sports car. I have seen several Genesis Coupes at various Houston auto events. At the 2013, Houston Auto Show, I was able to take one out for a test drive. The version I drove was the 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Track Edition. The version I drove came with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Genesis Coupe Track Edition is also available with a six-speed manual transmission. Other trim levels for the Genesis Coupe include the 2.0T, 2.0T R-Spec, 2.0T Premium, 3.8 R-Spec, and 3.8 GT. The 2.0T versions come with a turbocharged 2.0L I4 that puts out 271 hp and the 3.8 versions come with a 3.8L V6 that put out 348 hp. All versions of the Genesis Coupe come with either the six-speed manual transmission or the eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe has a very aggressive styling. It has stylish lines going along the sides of the car. What ruins the styling is the front of the car. That wide open black grill just does not work in terms of styling. The only interior option for the Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition is black with leather seats. This is a sports coupe with 2+2 seating, so there is not much leg room and head room for rear passengers. Behind the wheel, I had good amount of head room and leg room. The seats are firm. This is a sports car and the ride is designed for track days.

The Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition is powered by a 3.8L V6 that produces 348 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 149 mph. This is a quick car. It also has a firm ride to it. You will feel the smallest of bumps in the road when you are behind the wheel of this car. But, this car was built for the track and the steering response is very good. It is also quiet inside the cabin when this car is in motion. Prices for the entry level Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T starts at $25,125. Prices for the Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition goes for $33,895,  which includes a $895 destination charge. A Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track with the automatic transmission begins at $35,145, including the $895 destination charge. A manual Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition cost around the same as a base Nissan 370Z Coupe. Both cars have similar driving/ ride qualities, I feel that I have room behind the wheel of the Genesis Coupe. And The Genesis Coupe is not as low to the ground as the 370Z. For the price, you are getting good value with the Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe has been featured in Burn Notice, Top Gear Korea, Motorweek, 24, Auto Esporte, Best Motoring, Siti hyunteo, Leverage, and Top Gear USA. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is playable in Veloster HD, Ridge Racer, Drift City, Arctic Drift, RayCity, Astana Racer, Forza Motorsport 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Forza Horizon, Nitto 1320 Legends, Asphalt 7: Heat, Car Town, GT Racing: Motor Academy, and Grid 2.

Overall, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition is a good sports car. It has good power coming from the 3.8L V6. It has great acceleration. It responds well to steering wheel inputs. This car is fun to drive and was the most popular car for people to test drive at the Hyundai Ride and Drive booth. It also has a very firm ride to it. You will feel every bump in the road when you are in this car. If you prefer a softer ride, look elsewhere. But if you can handle the firm ride and want a good sports car at a reasonable price, then give this car a test drive. Unfortunately, Hyundai took a different approach with its compact sports car, the Hyundai Veloster.

First Impression: Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray

The Chevrolet Corvette is an American icon. It has been around since 1953. The Corvette is a two door, front engine, rear wheel drive vehicle that came either as a coupe or convertible. The Corvette C6 has been around since 2004. Now, Chevrolet has been planning the next generation in 2007. Chevrolet planned to release the next generation Corvette in 2011, but delayed it. The plan is to bring back the Corvette Stingray. A Corvette Stingray concept was shown in the Transformers live action movies. I even saw the concept car at the 2011 Houston Auto Show. However, the concept car was not the C7 Chevrolet ended up releasing. On January 13, 2013, at approximately 6:00 PM CST in Detroit, General Motors revealed the all new Chevrolet Corvette C7. The C7 is the third Corvette to be called "Stingray." The other Stingrays were the C2 Corvette and the C3 Corvette. The Chevrolet Corvette was available for purchase during the fall of 2013. While the C7 has been released, the C6 will still be made in Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR-1 versions.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept at 2011 Houston Auto Show
While the Corvette Stingray Concept was at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, it was absent at the 2013 Houston Auto Show (BOO!). I had to wait until the October 2013 edition of Houston Cars and Coffee to see the C7 Corvette. There were five group together, three coupes and two convertibles. The C7 Corvette looks amazing. I love that Chevrolet pays homage to the original C1 Corvette with the Mako Shark grill that was present on the original C1 Corvette. The C7 has a peak hood, whereas the C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes had flat hoods. I also love how the headlights are designed. The C7 aslo has a nice side profile. I just love the design of the rear end. There are four exhaust tips below the center of the rear bumper. I just love the design of the taillights. This is the best looking vehicle that Chevrolet has ever made, let alone the best looking Corvette.

The Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine, paired with either a seven-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission, that produces 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 195 mph. Prices for the C7 Corvette Coupe start at $51,995, including a $995 destination charge. The MSRP for a Corvette 3LT with Z51 Performance Package starts at $62,995. Prices for a base C7 Corvette Stingray Convertible start at $56,995. The MSRP for a Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT with the Z51 Performance Package starts at $67,800. Compared to its competion, the C7 Corvette is a bargain. A base Porsche 911 Carrera starts at $84,300.

The C7 Corvette has been featured on Motorweek, Top Gear US, Jay Leno's Garage, Turbo, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The C7 Corvette is playable in Grand Theft Auto V (Invetero Coquette' C7), GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience, Gran Turismo 5, Asphalt 8: Airborne, Need For Speed; Rivals, and Gran Turismo 6.

Final Thoughts: While it would have been cool to see the Corvette Stingray Concept as the actual C7 would have been nice, the C7 Corvette we got instead is even better. The C7 Corvette is the best looking vehicle made for the Chevrolet brand. The C7 Corvette is a bargain with a starting price of $51,995. This car has near supercar performance at a fraction of the cost of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. The C7 Corvette has been named Automobile of the Year 2014 by Automobile Magazine and Performance Car of the Year 2013 by Road and Track. It is also a finalist for Motortrend's Car of the Year. Chevrolet has announced a Z06 version of the C7 Corvette starting in 2015. This version will have supercharged 6.2L V8 that produces 625 hp. I am hoping somewhere in the next few years that Chevrolet comes out with a ZR-1 version of the C7 Corvette. So far, I have been impressed by the C7 Corvette.
